Information about baptisms
Baptisms at St. Katharine’s take place as part of the regular Sunday Eucharist at 11am. It is our intention to allow other church-goers the opportunity to welcome those who are being baptised into the church family. We are happy to baptise anyone who lives within the parish of Blackrod or who has a strong link to the Parish. Baptism services usually take place on the third Sunday of each month when up to 3 people will be baptised.
If you are interested in being baptised or having your child baptised then please attend the Thursday office session 7-8 pm for further information.
Information about confirmation
Baptised members of the Christian faith may re-affirm their faith by choosing to become confirmed. At St. Katharine’s we welcome both child and adult confirmation candidates (children must be in school Year 6 or above) who live within the parish of Blackrod or who have a strong link to the parish.
Confirmations usually take place in February or March of each year, and candidates are required to undertake a course of preparatory classes commencing the previous October. To register, please attend the Thursday office session between 7-8 pm, or contact us for further information.
