In Blackrod there have been no house to house collections for 2 years, since Covid struck in 2020! in 2022 we introduced delivery-only envelopes, with information on the envelope of where the drop-off points were in the village.
Unfortunately this didn’t raise as many donations as previous years, therefore other means of fundraising has taken place (concerts, club donations, sponsored steps and car boot sales). All of which have been very successful.
2024 has been another hugely successful Christian Aid Week
The total amount raised for Christian Aid week 2024 was £1,725.
Envelopes £823.14, Concert £435.00, Donation (from Ladies who Lunch) £100.00.

The total raised during Christian Aid Weeks from 2010 to 2024 by Blackrod is £25,056.89 – amazing!
I look forward to working with St Katharine’s congregation, the Christian Aid team, and residents again in 2025 to continue Blackrod’s amazing contribution to Christian Aid. Thank you for all your support.
