Following on from the appeal for knitted things for the charity Knit and Send, we have invited Ann Moore, retired midwife, to come to Blackrod. Ann will be speaking about her work in Kisiizi, Uganda, and the work of the charity, at St Katharine’s Church, Blackrod, on Monday 13th January 2020 at 2.00pm.
There will be refreshments available and a raffle and sales table to raise funds. All welcome, but please could you let us know if you are coming in order to have some idea of numbers. Ring Heather, or send a message through the Facebook page for Blackrod Stitch & Knit Group. Thank you.
Knit and Send is a small local charity based in Preston, formed by former colleagues of Alison in Laos, and Anne in Uganda, to support them in their work. Thank you so much to all those who have knitted, and who continue to knit for this very worthy cause, it is enormously appreciated and makes a tremendous difference to the lives of the mums and babies who receive them.
