Sunday School Report – Autumn and Winter 2017

This term we have been busy again, preparing for a number of things.  We started by learning about the work of Home for Good, a Christian fostering and adoption charity, and we did a presentation in church. We dressed up in sports kit to raise money for the charity. We also learnt about the story of Jonah, and began to prepare for Advent.

Since November, we have been putting together our Nativity. This year we have made models from lego, playdough and gingerbread and taken photos to show at the crib service.

We also made a card to say thank you to Deborah Howard, whose last Sunday was on the 10thDecember.  She has worked in Sunday School for 13 years! We gave her the card and a cake – and she shared the cake with us!

Finally, we went to the Panto! We went to Bolton town centre in the snow to see Cinderella. This was very enjoyable and we are thankful to the PCC who subsidised.
