REVISION OF THE ELECTORAL ROLL 2019

This year we need to go through the process of revising the Electoral Roll. This happens every six years in line with the Church of England rules.

This means all those persons already on the roll will need to fill out a new application form. These will be available in church from early February.

Once completed it should be posted into the box at the back of church and I will then compile the new roll from that information. If you are not on the roll already but would like to be included, then provided you meet the criteria as shown on the notice at the back of church, then you too can fill in an application form please.

The cut-off date for applications is March 17th as the new roll must be displayed in church for a period of 14 days before our next APCM on April 11th. This gives you all a chance to check that the information you have provided has been entered correctly.

You can apply to be added to the Electoral Roll of St Katharine’s if:

  • you are baptized and aged 16 years or over
  • a member of the Church of England, and resident in the parish.
  • If not resident in the parish to have habitually attended worship during the six months prior to enrolment.
  • Or, are members in good standing of a Church (not in communion with the Church of England) which subscribes to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity declaring themselves to be also members of the Church of England and having habitually attended public worship in the parish during the period of six months prior to enrolment.

Thank you, Sheila Kinrade, Electoral Roll officer.
