Men’s Fellowship Thursday 11th May at 10.00am*
“George’s Walk” takes on a new twist this year – not only is it to be held in May – not only is it happening on “dry land” but it is also “George and Bob’s Walk”!!
For all those interested it is an introduction to the historical suburbs of Manchester uncovering some little known facts along the way.
It will include a watering hole and somewhere for a bite to eat
If you are interested then let me know to expect you.
*We aim to be at Blackrod station to catch the 10.12 train to Manchester.

Fellowship Meeting 22 March 2017
On 22 March a group from the Men’s Fellowship attended a meeting about the restoration of the Rivington Terraced Gardens. The meeting started with an illustrated lecture about the history of the Gardens, the route to obtaining the £3.4m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, and the 3 year plan for the restoration of the Gardens themselves.
The party then had a guided tour around the Gardens showing the proposals and some of the volunteer work done to date, and finished with “pie and peas” in the Poachers!
For those who are interested, there is a Friends of Rivington Terraced Gardens group and there is a volunteer day the first Saturday of each month. For further information please visit Rivington Heritage Trust website www.rivingtonheritagetrust.co.uk , or facebook, or contact Richard Galloway on 01204 691602.
