#LiveLent: Care for God’s Creation is the Church of England’s Lent Campaign for 2020. With weekly themes shaped around the first Genesis account of creation, it explores the urgent need for humans to value and protect the abundance God has created.
This year’s #LiveLent challenge offers 40 short reflections and suggested actions to help you, your family and your church live in greater harmony with God, neighbour and nature.

This Lent, we hope both adults and children might engage in God’s plea for us to “Care for Creation”. It is an opportunity for us to rebuild our relationship with our planet, and in turn with the God who is Lord of everything. During this time, we hope you might engage in prayer, learn more about the remarkable world we have been given and build habits that last beyond the season to protect and honour the earth.

LENT MEDITATIONS at St Katharine’s.
The Season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on 26th February and once again plans are underway, with colleagues from the other churches in Blackrod, to provide a series of ecumenical meditations throughout Lent.
These will be held on Wednesdays from 4th March at 10.30am in St Katharine’s Church, lasting about 30 minutes and followed by refreshments and a chance to get together for a chat and discussion of the morning’s topic. More details in the March magazine. Everyone is welcome to these sessions.
The Lent Boxes are available in church during Lent for anyone wishing to take one and fill it with your change. Proceeds to USPG (United Society Partners in the Gospel).
Please write your name on the list when you take a box. Thank you.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Led by clergy, this is a chance to share Jesus’ journey to the cross each week during Lent, on Wednesdays at 7.00pm in St Katharine’s Church.
The sessions will be followed by Holy Communion at 7.30pm.
