October is the month for the annual church attendance census, when numbers of people attending services are recorded and all this data is sent to Church House, Manchester Diocese. So don’t be alarmed when you see the churchwardens looking busy with pen and paper in-hand to count the numbers of adults, children and young people at all the services between 6th October and Saturday 2nd November.
The information is used in many different ways (primarily as part of national statistics on church attendance) and for the parish share calculation in our diocese.
The Income Survey takes place at the same time, and the forms will be available in the lower room. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill in the form, which is completely anonymous, and put it into the collection box. Thank you in advance for taking part in the survey.
